Blackboard Slate Description

Hello,
    I am the Executive Director of a new Community Art School in Newton, NC.  We are about to begin renovations on several old classrooms which have slate blackboards that are between 60-80 years old.  The rooms we are renovating will not need this slate and (http://maplered.com) I am trying to get a fair market value for the slate or at least a good "trade out" with a local contractor.  Any suggestions on pricing or where I can find more info?
